  You quoted the law that said nil compensation may be just and equitable. The keywords being equity is how the court interprets takings now. People are pointing at the thousands of farmers that have been displaced, this is nothing new.

  Per Wikipedia:

  Note that MK are the armed forces of ANC, the thing Mandela was the leader of and convicted for.

  Your opinion that it is “just crime” does not stroke with the fact it is condoned by and executed by a faction within the major political ruling party.

  GenocideWatch.org puts South Africa at stage 6 (there are 8 levels). The numbers are currently in the thousands and are not stopping nor slowing down. Many politicians are known to sing songs of hatred against white people such as "Shoot/Kill the Boer” at political rallies and even on the floor of parliament. EFF and MK openly calls for genocide within their government and does so with impunity.   Gaza is not even relevant here, Gaza attacked Israel, they are losing the war. People die in wars, although Israel is very careful not to hit civilians while Hamas uses them as shields. You want to claim there is a parallel in South Africa, then perhaps war needs to be declared. But nobody is genociding Gazans/Israelis except Hamas.

  i know most people here are totally out and that’s fine.. many these days are staying physically in for the social life and that is also fine.. i feel being fully mentally in is dangerous as it could be such a shock mentally if or should i say when the tower collapsed.. im sitting in the fence like so many others here.

  mentally agnostic if god exists or not and if the bible is his word.. when i talk to people who are physically and mentally still in i can tell that they so need it to be true.

  i’m worried for them when they wake up to the fact that they have been lied to 1914 wasn’t true 1975 wasn’t true 1999 wasn’t true and now here we are 2025 it’s all not true.

  back when the dinosaur soft tissue story was broken in 2005, i predicted that that many more soft tissues would be found and that it wouldn't matter if it was supposedly "65 million" years old or "165 million" years old.

  the prediction has proven true and dinosaur soft tissue is routinely now found regardless of supposed age.

  this is easy to predict using a literal reading of genesis and accepting it as history.... .

  The GAA had provisions for land owned prior to 1950, it had exceptions for servants, mining, hospitals and there was a visitation period of 90 days and did not apply to prior designated (in the 1930s) lands for various tribes. That is what the law said, there was no provision for expropriation, land could not be transferred to blacks, but could also not be forcibly transferred to the state.

  It displaced primarily poor people that had moved to the cities, basically moved the slums from the inside to the outside. But that happens today just as well in many countries.
  

  The law you quoted that is being implemented shows clearly that equity (aka DEI or perceived race benefit) is the measure, not land value, and it clearly states that land can be expropriated under the (neo-Marxist) equity doctrine.

  The nil compensation also has many ways out: get chased of your land, or the government deems its value to be lower than their interest in race based equity - poof goes your property. There is nothing in there as far as modern legal parlance that goes to the fair and marketable value of the land.

  Not for nothing that literally tens of thousands of whites and blacks have left the country. Just because Apartheid was bad 75 years ago doesn’t mean you can just “take back” what you perceived to have lost. Reparations are always bad, as you admit is happening under the doctrine that blacks “lost” land because they couldn’t trade for it and somehow “that’s the only thing they’re forcibly taking back”. It also doesn’t justify the slaughter and rape which has been independently verified to be on the order of a genocide and of that you can actually find evidence.

  It also doesn’t explain how the new generations of blacks and the country under ANC in general is doing even worse than before, much of the confiscated lands are laying fallow and the country is already facing food and water shortages as the original farmers are gone and the new farmers have no clue and instead move back to the city for work (similar to what happened in the Holodomor - Stalin killed the Ukrainians, sent a bunch of Russians and surprise - they can’t produce your food). At some point, your failings are your own. Mandela (who was a Marxist) and his party (officially nationalist socialists) demonstrated they are thugs and clueless when it comes to running a country.

  @Earnest: nobody says the prior government wasn’t bad, but the above is all well documented. The ANC denies it is happening. As far as “reparations” - under Apartheid no property was ever seized, under ANC it is, as you said with minimal to no compensation for “sins” supposedly committed 300 years ago by some ancestor when the majority of the black population were nomadic. There were no widespread Xhosa settlements. What areas the Xhosa had remained as homeland areas under apartheid. The Afrikaner did not confiscate Xhosa lands. The ANC represents mostly tribes from the Zulu nation that came from the North around early 1800s, long after British and Dutch had already “taken” the land. There are other parties representing other tribes in South Africa, but they are, like whites, in the minority and have been killed as well by the ANC

  Nobody is saying Apartheid was good but “the devil you know” was better for many of the other political groups which is how Apartheid remained in place. Even Noam Chomsky wrote about this early on, how Anti-Apartheid basically was a ploy to get cheap land and labor.

  Yes. And the ANC has been killing both whites and the nomadic tribes.

  Mandela became the head of the military wing of the African National Congress, Umkhonto we Sizwe (Spear of the Nation), also known as MK. The majority of casualties of MK operations were civilians. Hundreds annually were being killed by terrorist operations, which mostly ended when Mandela and others were arrested and convicted, however since the early 1960s to 1993 about 19,000 cases of human rights abuses have been documented.

  Even after Mandela came to power it is well documented how the ANC started killing off political rivals both black and white. Since Mandela rose to power 70,000 white farmers have been killed with many more cases of rape, mutilation and abuse and more than 82,000 white farmers have been dispossessed of their property under communist laws against property holdings.

  This is tribal warfare and communism brought to its ultimate end. And as far as the Kill the Boer statement, the picture says it all…

  From a pure historical perspective the whites are the natives, there is a black nomadic population which has historically sided with the Brits and Dutch, the ANC is a party of tribes that started invading about 200 years ago, after the white population had already settled. Apartheid was a means to prevent those tribes from getting to power and eradicating the rest.

  People seem to forget that Mandela went to prison for killing white and black farmers, the party never changed, they are still radical communists, just the media started championing them after Mandela got to power.

  usa politicians in charge of the economy for the past 50 years were too stupid to understand how the economy works.

  this just proves my theory, that an education on the top tier universities just sucks and means nothing in the real world, unless its in the stem education.

  @liam: the SCOTUS did not say that they have to have a fair trial, just that they have to give more than 24h notice and then remanded it to the 5th circuit I believe. The media spinning this as a win has it upside down, illegals immigrants do not have the same rights, but the government has to make sure the rights they have been granted are protected. This could be a 24h notice period, as long as the notice gives a chance at challenging the validity, then it should go to an administrative judge that double checks the paper work and sends them back to wherever they came from within 48h, it’s easy to comply and rubber stamp deportation papers, but that won’t stop the lawsuits. All those are pending and many have been shot down, the real problem is regional judges putting in nation wide bans.

  As far as the US taking in legal migrants and asylum seekers, we are taking in 10x more asylum and legal migrants on an annual basis than the next largest importer, the EU. That hasn’t changed, for humanitarian assistance, the US pays more than its fair share. We are also taking in 10-20x more illegal migrants than them.

  The fact that the left is opposing this, because they are white, just shows you they are racist, as is DEI policy and every other Democrat proposal.

  I guess you could read anything into that prophecy depending on your definitions. If Trump is the 8th, was Biden the 7th, because in practice, he elevated himself to king on more than a few occasions, eg mandating ‘the mark of the beast’ in COVID shots and attempting to kill Donald Trump on two occasions = two witnesses who were revived.

  I mean, we can go back and see similar cloud cuckoo land posts about Biden and Obama and Bush and Clinton going back long long time.
